Convert your registrations and titles to Maine within 30 days of establishing residency Take your out-of-state title, registration, and insurance to your Maine municipal office. Pay the Excise tax

Annual Inspection
After the vehicle has been registered in Maine, an annual vehicle is required. If the vehicle has not been inspected before, please get a permit for inspection from the municipal office and go to an inspection station. If the vehicle has been inspected out-of-state, Maine will honor the previous inspection. The vehicle will need to be inspected when the previous inspection sticker expires.
